thank you and yes I am proud considering it's my first try at discus. that's my point. I was setting this tank up for angels because I " knew " that discus needed low PH and soft water. If you can, do what I did. go on over to simplydiscus.com. that site is about discus and only discus. more info than you could ever use. by all means, feed you fish different foods. mine get prime reef flakes, sera's discus granuals, freeze dried and frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp, and thier favorite is Mal's freeze dried blackworms. I never fed them beefheart as it's just to messy in and out of the tank, but it is a great food for young discus.
