Discus hobbist...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice tank, to grow out my discus, I keep them in a bare bottom, with just some driftwood.
When upgrade the tank, I plan to make some like this, not planted, but with some plants.

Here's some newer pictures but they didn't really come out very nice. I tried with the flash and without. You can still see what it looks like with sand but my sand is lighter than it looks in the pictures.

Hello Fallen,

Thank you for those pictures. Your tank is awesome...I am leaning to the sand bottom now after I saw your tank. As the matter of facts, I am in a process looking for a 100 - 120 gallons tank now. I noticted that you have a Jebo tank. How is the built quality wise of your tank? Do you mind to share where you purchased your tank from?

Thanks.

Hi Newe70,

It was given to me but it was bought at a local LFS chain here in Canada. The tank is great. I love the rounded corners. Gives it a more modern look. You could probably find a local reseller at the Jebo site. You can also see some of the larger tanks they have. Same style.

Ohh I do have one complaint about this tank though. The canopy comes with
3 x T8s for lighting. I can't find any T8s higher than 40 watts. This gives me about 1.6 watts per gallon. Pretty low lighting for a planted tank. But not as dark as it looks in the pictures. That's just a bad photographer

I love your tank. Here is my Jebo discus/angelfish tank. I do not have sand but have gravel and it's pretty natural too.
