I wouldnt be buying juvvies..Theyd be around 4'' - 6'' when I buy them......I would do a weekly 15 gal water change...

Good plan. Switch to 30% water change twice a week though. It's not much and can benefit your discus in the long run. You could also do the opposite with goldfish or try loaches.
