Discus Tank so far

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great looking fish and tank. I might suggest though, placing some more vallisneria spiralis plants along the left back wall with Heterantha zoster-i-folia and Aponogenton ulvaceus in the right corner of the back wall. Mid tank and foreground, maybe some Echinodorus amazonicus and E. quadricostatus. These are just some ideas I had I wanted to share with you. Might give you some ideas on how to complete your tank. Also too, a few red plants would go well in there also. I hope this helps.

Hi David
And thanks for the tips, its always welcome this end.
Most of those were not recognised on the plant companies website that I use though. I guess i'll have to try somewhere else.

Thanks.
It is still a work in progress with wood and plants.
I'm more than happy with the fish, very active and coming up to feed when I'm near the tank, it's really cool to watch :D

what kind of plants are you using? and do you use CO2? I have fake plant and driftwood, does not look as nice as yours. I heard and read somewhere saying, it's not good for beginner 'cause discus & plants create more problem down the road. I am thinking just put a little short plants into my tank.
