i used to keep a silver aro with my disucs, but they moved to their own tank and seem to be happier.(not that aro bothered them)
Discus W/Black Aro in 150 Tall

My current plan (whenever we get a 240 and the husbands fish outgrow it, its mine) is to make a 240 discus planted aquarium with about 8 discus in it. Never thought of adding a black aro to it... *thinks*
Bad pic, but I have 6 discus with a black aro and 2 stingrays... Discus' have been there for a week and so far so good. The aro even seems to like the discus.
An arowana should have way more space than a 150high will allow for. Maybe up to 17" it would be one thing, but starting at 17", definitely not. The discus may do okay in the same tank, wut will be much better in a tank designed around them, which would not include an arowana.
