discus with ebjd?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
honestly, yes and no as you have to watch the fish closely and probably need a large tank if its 1 or the other go with the discus!! they school and who knows maybe youll get lucky and therell be a pair in your group
No matter what, good luck!

arent ebjd less aggressive than regular jack dempseys? they usually only lip lock with themselves as well right? if you do add anything to a discus tank keep a close eye on them and get them out of anything goes wrong

mines not he will chase any cichlid that he doesn't like. Don't do it.

I am going to go out on a limb and say it might work if you got the discus first and grew them out to about 4-5". Once they were 4-5" then you could add an EBJD that was like an an inch. That way the discus would be the dominate fish, and the EBJD could get away easily because they are way faster than the discus.

Plus EBJDs grow really slow so by the time it was big enough to do any damage it would have grown up with the discus, and probably wouldn't mess with them.

I don't really see the difference between keeping EBJDs with Discus, and keeping them with angels. Other than the fact that discus are delicate and get stressed easily.

Both angels and discus are slow moving and attacked easily but if the discus are much bigger than the EBJD to start with I think it could work out.

how do i start my own post
