Hm Ive read that 1000g isnt actually necessary, since usually only gets to 24'' in the home aquaria..?? My lfs had a TINYY 2'' - 3'' one last week..it was amazing lol
There is absolutely no reason a fish wouldn't grow to or exceed the size of of it's wild counterparts in captivity, if housed & fed properly. They have no enemies nor do they have to hunt for food & can be treated for disease. The only thing prohibiting this is improper housing, which is stunting the fish or improper diet.
