I have a 5" Blue Diamond discus, about 2 weeks ago he stopped eating, then a week ago I noticed a string of white feces coming out of him. On the advice of the seller of this discus I isolated him and treated him with API's "General Cure". Today he completed his treatment and still wasnt eating. He hasnt had any white feces that I have seen for 3 days, it was staying on for hours so I am pretty sure if he had any I would have seen it. Then I saw a white string that looks just like the white feces come out of his mouth.

Does anyone have any idea what he might have and how to treat it? The seller said he had "Hexamita" based on the not eating and white string of feces. Any help would be appreciated.

it's a prozoalia(spelling?) virus. you can treat it with flakes from angelsplus.com or with prail-pro.

Re-reading your post, I believe your fish has hole-in-the-head-disease otherwise also known as lateral line corrosion.
Many people still use antibiotics such as metronidazole to try and cure it.
Personally I don't. increase temperature to 35 degrees Celsius and keep it there for a week. Run a course of Epsom salt treatment. The fish will void itself and get rid of a lot of the protozoa in its gut. I do believe that hole in the head is caused by stress and/or unsuitable water conditions. It does not occur in the wild but only in fish kept in captivity. What are you feeding your fish. A good vitamin supplement will aid healing.

Get Dieter Untergasser's book 'Discus Health'. It was published way back in '91 but is still without a shadow of a doubt the best book on discus diseases. He has a new book published on fish diseases in '05 or '06 (I would need to check) but it is only available in German so far. So unless you can speak the language it's pretty useless to you. I am surprised TFH has not published this in English yet.
