Sounds fine. Just make sure you get them from a reputable breeder or importer. These will give you the highest chance of success.

Juvie discus need a lot of food. I fed them 4 times a day. Autofeeder with dry foods and at night my prepared foods. That is why they need a lot of WCs. I did daily changes for the first 4 mos. As I they get bigger I slowed down their feeding schedule and reduced WCs to 3 times a day.

Not many people can do straight WCs from the tap. I think this is where the biggest mistakes are made. If possible store and age your water before introducing it to your tank. I use a 64g and 96g brute containers to do this and my water is also pre-heated. Good luck.
 
All domestic discus are the same species. The price is going to range, dependent on the breeder. Find someone reputable. Greatlakesdiscus.com is a great breeder of discus, particularly known for his white butterflies. His cobalt blues are some of the best I've seen, and he has some great pigeon bloods.
