On the right hand corner, you will see two angel fish! It kept with big and small datnoid and a HUGE silver arowana!

Any Question?

And because someone has kept it with anglefish you say discus are good? Angle fish and discus don't even really work well together.

So best case you will soon have a hiding discus that's life will be quickly cut short. Worse case you will quickly have only a dat in the tank.

Angel and discus don't work well together, because angel fish " CAN " have an internal parasite which kill discus, but it doesnt affect the angel. That's one of the reason many people doesn't recommend mixing

I'm using Bushfoxbush's tank as an example, datnoid is LARGE and predatorial but they can also be gentle with fish that are similar size or bigger or can't fit in their mouth

Thomas, by the looks of your tank, I've to admit is a little too small, you will need to upgrade soon

True, but it is only one of the reasons. Angels also tend to be faster eating the food before the discus gets there share, not to mention they are more aggressive (fin nipping.)

Anyways as has been said by many the dat is just a bad idea. And I honestly would have returned it or moved it to a new tank by now.

Is your datnoid a thinbar? If so, I would definitely be interested in purchasing! Please let me know, or PM me.
pm you bro.... like everyone said, he already at like 5 of my cardinal tetras....need to sell him now.....

The discus may be fine, but the guppies, neons, etc, will all end up as food ;)

I would think the datnoid and your other fish (especially the ones about to become snacks) would be happier if they were in separate tanks

ive been wondering this too. I want to add color to my tank and i was thinkin about adding some discuss. I have a NTT so they are the least aggressive of its kind. sure the discuss as slow to grab its food, but i would drop market shrimp or the datnoid at the same time food for the discuss. that way, the datnoid would aim at getting the bigger food while the discuss could still get full off of the scraps.

any thoughts? and is your tank workin out thomas? besides all the guppies, neons and cardinals being gone.
