So you don't think that when a predatory fish eats a diseased wild fish (feeder) isn't transferable?

Wild fish don't have another food source. Captive fish do. There's no reason to feed them sick feeders just because its "natural"

i've never used the starvation method and yet most of my fish convert to pellets naturally with them being offered, do you feel that is cruel or not? just curious of your thinkings. in addition, what kind of fish do you classify as big toothy predators? i don't think the big fish i keep fall into that category, but i could be wrong. (aro,fire eel, lsn,giraffe cat)

i feel that if the fish takes the food on its own and not because that is the only thing there is to eat then that is fine. But by starving i mean, not offering there natural diet. And by big toothy preds I mean ATF, GATF, piranha, payara, fresh water cuda's, pickerel, pike, gar, basically anything that has large teeth made for holding fish as prey. Or teeth that you can see with there mouth shut.

In the wild the animals from the same area are all susceptible to the same parasites, diseases, ect. It's like when you go to Mexico, they say don't drink the water. The native people drink it every day with no problems but if you drink it...well you know the rest.
