I have a 60 gallon in which I recently placed a Bluegill and a Red Ear Sunfish.
The morning after adding the fish, the bluegill showed signs of what looks like a severe case of ICH.
The "white spots" have turned into what looks like large growths which has me thinking it may be a case of cotton fin fungus.
Disease has shown up and bloomed in the past two days.
Can anyone please identify and advise on treatment?

I don't think it's ich. But I'm not sure what it is though :( If it was ich, the ich cysts should have dropped and fungus might have taken advantage. I'm only responding to try to help out because you didn't get an answer yet. I've seen something similar with a betta, it was thought to be a bacterial.

True fungus is an oppurtunistic thing that takes advantage of dead or damaged tissue, so usually secondary to external bacterial infections or parasitic attacks. Since they started off as white spots and they are still there, that's why I suspect bacteria as the culprit.

But going forward, it's important to keep water params on par to prevent bacterial infestations from happening in the first place. I suggest changing at least 50% water per week. It all depends on stocking and tank size, but that is a basic guideline for me.

Look like body fluke. Would dose some prazipro with repeat dosing.

Ok i'll just say it. Do you have access to antibiotics in your country? Trying hard not to step on toes, but your fish need help.

Anyone else have anything to say?
 
Also although it's not a treatment in itself, you could add some aqua salt (sodium chloride) for now at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons as a supplement treatment. It can used with antibiotics and/or prazi
