Living in New York City I get to witness this type of stuff all the time, everything from 6 people jumping 1 skinny kid, to people getting mugged in crowded rush hour trains without anyone saying a word.
I am young and most of my friends are white and in early 20s range, whenever having a conversation with them they will use the n word to refer to blacks on regular basis. I really do want to step in and say something but I can not argue with them. Most of them had an experience of getting mugged, being jumped, or have that happen to someone they know.
It is very simple. Black kid can walk through my neighborhood listening to an iPod and waving cash and nothing will happen, I can not walk through a black neighborhood and listen to my iPod without getting mugged.
Many black people are the very cause of racism, and that is really sad.

Another sad thing is a lot of people can be racist and not even know it, I'm not at all trying to say someone here is in case you're thinking that.

Note the ratio in general population, yet the prison rates are at almost 50%/50%.
(I just pulled these statistics out of quick Google searches, if you are interested I can get you more detailed information some time tomorrow. I was shocked to learn this stuff in Criminal Justice classes.)

I went to a New York State correctional facility not long ago and all I saw were black and hispanics... why??? surely no one simply locked them in the slammer for nothing.

I been to jail for nothing its pretty easy actually just takes the right cop i was pulled over for speeding in St. Pete FL and was demanded to step out my car with guns drawn at me when i did they pepper sprayed me,whooped my @$$, and took me to jail charging Me with three count of battery on a l.e.o. so yeah i was locked up blind and with my head busted open for nothing im just saying there are chicos that are put in jail for nothing so try not to judge us to harshly but i also agree with you their are ignorant hispanics giving us a bad rep thats probably why this happened to me but what are you gonna do the whole situation is f-ed upM|L said:
