I just went to a small LFS in our mall and they had 3 RES in a 10gal tank

1 no platform for them to dry off!

2 one of the the was 5"+

3 one of the small ones was dead!! I was pissed.

I walked out speeking very loudly about what I saw!
I had alot of poeples attention.

sorry just had to vent.
these people should not be in busness!

The one thing that gets me more is the people who buy random fish and have no clue what they're doing. Someone I read on yahoo answers wondered why her fish were dieing. She had 2 tiger barbs, 1 blood parrot, a bala shark, and a red tail shark. In a what I'm guessing small tank. they were all in the same tank. He said "the red one beats everything up."

My lfs may not be able to pass health regulations for humans but the tanks are by far better then any i have seen...besides a few mfk(me)

I've seen my fair share of Red-Ears in that situtation. They're probably one of the most abused reptile species on the planet.

Its illegal to sell turtles in my state, and I'm glad. They are so often mis-cared for.
