Dishwasher broke from washing rocks

I think the dishwasher was about to go out anyway and it's only coincedence it happened when the rocks were in it. But I agree with the others, don't tell the landlord you washed rocks or he'll try and use that as an out. He'll flip the script and say you owe him.

other then lesson learned.. I agree it prolly wasn't the rocks.. but I would never put aquarium decor in a dishwasher to clean them.. as mentioned the worry of chemicals would have me washing them again anyways... I use a big canning pot to boil rocks if need be.

I won't be able to do laundry for a while, my washing machine is broken from me trying to wash rocks. I knew I should have used more fabric softener!!!
