Finally going to begin this today/tomorrow. I found a calculator for bleach ppm and it looks like I need about 1.6L to 2.2L of bleach to do 200ppm. I just need to confirm if my clorox is 6% or 8% sodium hypochlorite which will depend on the specific version I purchased.
The plan continues to be to toss the bleach into the tank and let it run for about 24 hours. I will be tossing the sponges, but keeping the media in the tank which the filters run.
I will most likely have to toss the poret foam. SwissTropics feedback to me was that if I leave the foam in bleach for more than 10min that it will break down. I would have to take other steps to clean it and I am not sure it is worth it.
