dither fish for armatus??

Balas won't mess with an Armatus at all. They do have an extremely slow growth rate though as stated above. One reason why I was considering not to try Balas.

i housed a same size cichla orino with him.. its actually a lil bit smaller, probably .25 inch smaller. he often flares up on the orino but doesnt really strike. the cichla is just minding his own business and if tries to get too close to the armatus, it gets a warning from the armatus.

please let me know if this is a recipe for disaster.
im also hoping for it to be a teacher fish for the armatus to eat non live.

i added a 3" hemiodus argenteus.. still no problem. all three are in one corner most of the time.
