LOL the only thing I ever saw catch a giant danio was my TSN when the danio got a bit to close,,,,,suck gulp,,,,burp.

Either Buenos Aires Tetras or giant danios would be my recommendation. I like the tetras better, but the danios are harder for the predators to catch. Back when I had my gt, he couldn't catch them, but at feeding time he would knock them out of the tank - Feeding time could get pretty exciting!

i def wouldnt reccomend that as they will become a breeding pair and will then be the ones doing the beating up on the dempseys and a 50g is a bit small for a grown pair of dempseys and anything bigger than danios as dithers, if you really want con in there then just keep one female

put the male convict in and not the female... as others have said they will become the breeding pair and your jds will just hide and get beatin up
