What is a good dither fish? It needs to preferably school. Hold its own against a breeding pair of Jags in a 180. And look pretty. Something black maybe?

Try silver dollars or red hooks....they are pretty tough. but honestly, you don't need much else in a 180 with a pair of full grown Jags.

Anything Nicaraguan? Im going for a nicaraguan themed tank. I know its just about full, but I want some movement in the tank, and I want the jags to have something to defend their young from. But yeah nicaraguan would be nice, but it doesn't have to be nicaraguan.

I think with jags you don't really have a lot of choices for dithers.

Tinfoils, I have 11 of them and they work perfectly. My GG doesn't bother them cause there are too many.
Mine are all around the 6-8" mark
my old LFS used gourami' to dither a big female jag and they coexisted for YEARS. they still are now. Jag would just sit in her cave and ignore the gourami's
