Dithers for a Gymnogeophagus (cool water) tank?

I keep mine with roseline sharks. Wrong continent but they are supposed to be able to handle lower temp (not too low though). I guess I'll find out soon!

I wouldn't doubt it! I'm not sure how complete their online stock list is, but they don't have any Australoheros or Buenos Aires Tetras right now (according to their website, at least).

Sold out then. I know petsmart/petco carry buenos aires sometimes.

Goodeids like Xenoteca would be a good choice...along with bloodfins and Buenos Aires tetras...

Besides the ones listed above I have kept my gymnos with zebra danios, white clouds and harlequin rasboras. Also if you happen upon Cr. minuano they are a great small pike to share a tank with gymnos

I believe they do have 1 or 2 dwarf pikes right now, don't think they have the species mentioned though.

Well if I can figure out how to get my little ones to breed I'll let you know! People should be starting there collecting trips in Uruguay soon so if you know anyone going maybe they can bring you back a pair. They are tricky little things to catch but Felipe (the guide) also has them for sale.
