Dithers for Large Midas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree with Tinfoil barbs, adults though. I have some albino tinfoil barbs and I love them.

Yes, I have had the giant danios disapear one by one every night thing before. I solved it by keeping a night-light on the tank. danios(and barbs) go into a deeper sleep than cichlids do. With a night-light on very close to the tank, every one still had rest time but the dither fish could see the cichlids coming for them even in their stupor and were able to evade night attacks. Try it, it works.

If it was a big tank, which it is not, another couple of male midas. That is my recipe.

Try some bala sharks or keep a wet pet.

I would say keep him solo. I asked the same question and ignore the advice given by many on this site. MY midevil nearly killed a JD the same size as he was in under an hour.

Exactly. I even tried giving my danios coffee and red bull so that they wouldn't fall a sleep when the lights went out, but that didn't work either. He still got them all.

mine has always been a pet tried a female once darn near killed her.I love him i can pet him and hand feed him. he knows me ,he goes nuts when my wife comes in the fish room

Cant beat silver dollars for dithers imo

Thanks for the advice all, I am mostly likely getting another setup here soon. Knew it was a long shot lol.
