Silver dollars have a huge chance of outcompeting the bichirs for food.
Not sure if this is normal or not but my silver dollars tend to not eat if I’m even in the room or they’ll simply eat anything that floats near their faces. They will eat the food that I give the bichirs but only after I leave and by the time I leave the bichirs have had their fill.
Not really, i have them for while with bichirs, SD have small mouth so it takes time for them to chew on big food. Aslong you spread the food in the tank you should be fine.
Remember how big her bichirs are and the size of the food being fed those bichirs.
some are small as I just added to the group they arent really skittish wen I come up to the tank.
