Do any of you know of any dividers that are tough enough to keep large centrals at bay and arn't a complete eyesore, ex: Sheet of eggcrate and suction cups. Have any ideas of how to hide dividers?
Use the eggcrate only silicone it in place at 3 spots on each edge. wire plants to it or rocks or camo paint it. Cut larger holes in eggcrate in a pattern just small enough that your killers won't try to get thru. They make a chrome eggcrate but I haven't tried it in water yet. I put plastic rods horizonally from front to back that were wider apart than the fish were thick but the fish never figured out to just turn sideways and they could get thru. I thought that was interesting. Maybe I just had dumb fish.
or ask Scotty to whip up some transparent aluminum or a small force field. ooops, these darn flashbacks... aarrrh!
Just get a Plastic Louver for a FL light, the open eggcrate kind. All youll have to do is cut it to fit an secure it with some suction cups. that oughta handle anything your fish can throw at it.
Eggcrates can be found is several patterns (including hex) and colors if you hunt around, I like siliconing two sets of plastic rods to the tank sides and sliding the trimmed panels between them, it looks better IMO than suction cups and if you want to remove the panel for cleaning it slides right out. It can also be permantly removed by carefully razoring out the silicone.
