Didnt get nearly as much done as I wanted to today as my father pool caught fire and he needed a hand with that. And despite being the only day (sickie, cough cough) I have off prior to christmas day i didnt get home until 530pm to start work on my pond. Still I got a little done and you can see the pond starting to take shape. 1/2 there, 1/2 to go, hopefully tomorrow night I'll get it done as I have a friend coming to help.

Do you mean in the middle of the pond or on one of the walls at the bottom.

I managed to get a little done today before I was chased away by the rain. I'll be adding a 90cm beam every 1.5m to pull it all square, this will be place 1/2 way up 50cm from the ground. I wanna fill some dirt in first before adding the beam cause its gonna be a pain once in. I also need a 90* bend for the conduit and downpipe buried underneath the garden bed so I can fill up the end. I'll be getting those later tonight.

Just a link nothing more, First hit on google:

A Pond is a different animal than a tank, ammonia sinks therefore a pond should be drained from the bottom, in the same way a skimmer line should sit on uv as algae sits in the top third of the water.

Pumps will pump the water from the bottom depths of the pond in the 2 of the corners furthest from the returning water. There will also be a pump in the center at the bottom to move water through the water column.
