diy 125 gallon stand help

i took kinda long to select the pcs. i was like this one looks good but turn it over and nvm. i tried to select the best straight pc as i could with out big knots, cracks, etc. im gonna start measuring an cutting soon
 
i think i have 8 out of 22 pcs cut. it takes like 15+ minutes doing it manually and my sharp blade just broke. this is is gonna be much more fun
 
i just found out i had a jig saw 2 hours or so into cutting manually. i used it and it gets jammed. its still faster than manual even after fixing the jam. i had to open it up so much that i went back to manual. i got fed up with manual and went back to the jigsaw again. kept jamming because they had a circle piece inside that was broke 75%. i broke the rest off and added a washer for a full circle. too bad i couldnt figure that out from the start. im almost done and have been doing this since forever. 6 more cuts
 
not fish related...but if you hold alt + scnprnt it'll just capture the top thing you're looking at as opposed to the whole screen. good luck mate.
 
that kinda worked. print screen i still dont mind using.

the jig saw wire fried when i was 2.25 cuts away. it took like 7 minutes for 2 cuts with the jigsaw and i was done in 45 minutes with manual cutting when it broke. 7 hours or cutting for just the 2x4, i dont have the 1x4 fasteners yet.
 
how is the top box connected to the c 2x4's? i was thinking of adding L shape metal things to connect the top to the c 2x4's. when i looked at you thread it seems like its connected only by the 1x4 fasteners only.
 
You don't need them. The bottom and top are connected by the 1x4 strapping. The strapping B is screwed to the C (2x4) and B is also screwed to D. This makes the stand very sturdy.
 
i had extra 2x2 and left over 2x4 to make the fasteners. i still added the L things because im paranoid. i started at 6-30 pm yesterday and stopped at 8-30am this morning. my hands hurt. its doesnt have the middle 2x4 in yet. is that a needed piece for a 6 foot tank? i seen in the color drawing that it doesnt have a middle support piece.
