diy 180 gallon stand

hi guys,
i actually need help on this one. i searched alot on MFK about diy stand and everything was going fine. i bought the wood today to make my stand. but then i just realised that i had made a mistake.i got 2x2 instead of 2x4 for the stand. i legs will be made from 4x4 which is fine. but now what can i do with the 2x2.i cant go n get 2x4 as transportation is a pain. will the 2x2 be fine. or is there something else that i cam do. i need help on this one pleaseeeee

why dont u just put the 2x2 next to each other. and use them as 4x4
2x2 seems too weak to be holding a 180.

u mean i should join 2 pieces of 2x2 together and make a single 4x4 and use them right

i wouldnt sleep well with 2x2's .. but im sure someone has done it!

I've built all my stands with 2x4's , just finished the frame for a 180 .

i dont want to built it with 2x2 ..i got it by mistake.i wanted to get a 2x4. thats why i want to know what can i do to reinforce it. thanx

not sure where you purchased .. but maybe you could take them back and exchange them for 2x4's ?

transportation is a problem.it will cost me almost double to just carry it back to the place. cant i join two 2x2 and make them 4x4 and use. wont that be fine.

It would take four 2x2's to make one 4x4, not two. I wouldn't feel comfortable using 2x2's but that's just me.

joining two 2x2's will give me 2x4 but i dnt think it will have the same strength rite. so i will have to go and get 2x4.n other option right

Im not the smartest guy by any stretch of the imagination and im not tryin to be an ahole here, but can u explain to me how you didnt notice the difference between a 2x2 and a 2x4???
