DIY 6 Gallon Bucket Canister Filter

WEll sorry to say this project will be put on hold for a while now.

I lost my job over something stupid. My manager thought I disrespected him to the fullest but I had no intention. I wrote a jok on a piece of paper for him since I thought he would think its funny but some how in his twisted head he took it wrong and fired me. I worked in Aviation as a Line Service Technician and I loved the job. Got really good money, 15.30 / hour. I worked my ass off but it didn't matter.
 
Nope. Not Union.

I applied at another Air field that has the same position open and since I was the "lead" line service technician, I hope to get the job. I don't know what I will be making though :(

well it wasnt one of those jokes. lol.

I have been asking anyone I can about it and they can't believe he took it the way he did. Anyone with a sence of humor would have been fine with it.
 
Well, you just never know what's going to set someone off. That sucks dude. Good luck with getting a new job.
 
I know, all I can think of is maybe I caught him on a bad day or time possibly. I have joked around with him before and he seemed to be fine with it in the past. So I don't know why this was different.
 
Wow, what an ending man, I just read the seven pages and was doodling on paper what you had only to see that you have to stop. I hope you get a better job and also get to finish this project.

I'm a cansiter fan and would like to see a nice DIY completed and tested and maybe give room for a larger system in the near future. Good luck on the job hunt, we are in rough times.
 
I know, I can't believe it happend. I was hoping it was just a bad dream but its reality. I called the other company at another air field today to see if they went over my application yet but they manager was not in so I will have to call back later.

Im tempted to start my own landscaping business. I may put ads in the paper today for it to see if I can get any jobs. I love landscaping, im pretty good at designing and making it reality. Im also good at plumbing and wiring and doing small renovations but no one would hire someone with out insurance incase something happends.

I have been getting my Mazda Rx7 fixed up to sell for $800. I have a guy who is interested in it. It needs body work done to it. I have tons of small and slightly expensive modifications done to it so $800 is a steal I think as long as you can fix the body....

I hope I can put the money into saving and not have to dip into it for bills :(. I have a car loan plus full coverage insurance a long with 2 credit card and a gas card plus rent, pet insurance, GAS, food and anything else im missing.

The 180 Gallon I was going to put this canister filter on im also selling. If it doesn't sell I will use it but if it does than I will put the filter on my 55 Gallon just to see how well it works.
 
Reworked the filter (all I can do without a job)

To keep the intrest on the subject I reworked the filter a bit. Pretty much the same except the output tube extends across the inside of the bucket, then down. I will have the purge tube on the other side.

I put the rest of my Bio Bale in the filter to see how much it could hold since I had a big bag of it. It held all of the bio bale! This filter with bio bale has so much surface area I can only imagine the limitation of the bio filtration.

I will post pics later. Have to keep searching for jobs and put my name out there..
