DIY 6000 gallon tank

I am thinking about filling my house with water and making my bed a tank. So the fish will be in the house and I will b in the tank. I will make it out of ziplock bags and zip ties. Anybody have any suggestions on filtration as its obvious I can't use a simple toilet seeing as crap floats? Please help!

did you checkout the articals section?, concreet tanks are the rege man go with that..., i would have put in a viewing window on my pond if it was closer to my house, but it the pond needed to be near the hill and well that would have been way too big..., I'll do you a favor and list all the big tanks...

read all of these and then think about all the work that goes into pulling this off, then think bout the $200 a month that you will be paying to run your 14000GPH pump... and the light if any and since its outside you will need to insulate and heat it so there is another 100 per month on gas, and 3 times that durring the winter..., so $10,000-$15,000 on the tank, $running is 3600 a year plus thers like sand, media and plumming... thats over 20g's on the first year alone?, hope your parents are loyers and doctors, cuz thats alot of chease., im going on my 2nd year of construction on my 13000gallon pond and maybe another 2 to go and it sucked up mike 10g's, and this is me and my bro paying for it and we dont exacly rough it...

there are others but these are the ones that i have bookmarked from SHIS site..., its more then enough to read... now realy and truly are you planning to do this or just a 10 year old kid wasteing ppl's time? because there has been alot of people(some mostly the same person under diffent names) that was... i want a big tank, how do i filter 30 tanks, i want to wherehouse fish, marine fish... oh and i breed them too all of the sudden so i know what im doing, can i run my 600 gallon on a sponge filter, i want to build a 10000000gallon acrylic tank, ho do i do it, i want to make a moon catcher?, you catch my drift... I dont mean to be rude but it doesnt SEEM that you have the... experience to build something of this magnitude or the finantal backing to pull it off... nice drawings though you got tallent.

oy, does saracasm come across through these threads? HOW BOUT WE ZIP THIS THREAD UP? use those ziplock bags Greenaveli has for his house tank! Hey, does anyone know where I can buy 10" acrylic? It's for a DIY project. I figure that should be thick enough to hold back the Pacific? Any suggestions?

well actuly it should be thick enough to hold back the pressure of the pasific, and if you wish to make 10" thick acrylic you can bond several pieces together to form one thicker sheet, the submersable unmaned subs have 4"-8" acrylic viewing windows for the cameras....


crashinc, you have to give him the binifit of the doubt and belive that his intentions are to build this tank and not immidietly dissmiss that its a crackpot idea... Although it verrywell may be...

I think I did during the first few posts. Then it just seemed to be these random thoughts with no realism. Hey, I know how it feels to dream big, but I learned a long time ago that Nessie isn't gonna fit and I can't catch her. Heck, I don't even think it's a waste of time. Seems like a fantasy we can all live through. I'm just poking fun at the obvious. No harm, no foul.
