DIY 6000 gallon tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your acryilc dealer is overpriced.

That would be an amazing tank, simple as that.

Cant wait till I move up north, so i can start a project like this.

I would say 2 - 3" acrylic would be best for this, you dont need it super thick, because of the bracers and cement that will help hold the acrylic.

Keep me updated.

So where is the acrylic cheaper :D Oh ya ... thats a secret :D

Hah, in florida. I dont know the name of the place or i'd let you know :) I just said its a secret so i dont feel like a dur da dur.

trust me you couldn't find acrylic cheap then what my friend gets it for... 1/4 inch 4 x 8 sheet is 80 bucks... no one usually gets it for that unless you buy a load of it... there is a industrial grade acrylic he told me that's cheaper but has little bubbles in it or the clarity isn't as good as the standard... but that's why it's industrial....

This was a waste of time. When I was middle school I used to draw pictures of my '98 S10, still IFS with 30" of lift and 44"s. The pictures looked a lot like what you've got here... Doodles... I did actually have the truck waiting for me though... but no 44"s... I think they were 27"s and it wasn't 4 wheel drive.

And yes.. filtration will cost as much as the tank probably... But those doodled hybrid can probably live in stagnant crap water too though huh?

OMG, this thread is still going? Can't a mod just close this? Maybe we could switch our interests to the latest incarnation from this member...
SHARK POND
Same basic idea, too much imagination, not enough cash or ability.
I am DEFINITELY NOT picking on this kid, just rying to focus our attention on more realistic ideas and helping those who really need it.

Lets all change our attention to shark pond. He is building one for a great white...
