In all reality, you can purchase a stand for a 75g for less than that from Craigslist.

Very true. If you aren't looking for something custom, or aren't going bigger, the price between DIY and purchasing one can be a negligible number.

Here's a like to the 110 stand that I built. Same dimensions as a 75G.

Here are three that ive built for my 75 gal tanks they arent the fanciest but they hold up well and are not very expensive I now use the stained one in the last pics while the pressure treated ones are out in my garage one of them is holding a 105 gallon fuel tank with no problems good luck on your build
