DIY 85gal Acrylic Sump. K1

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have my k1 setup done this way with holes the threw a piece of acylic (350 holes) i drilled it will a milling machine so it took no time at all and havent had a problem yet. Sump has been running for 4 months like this and i check it every water change twice a week. I think you need free enough movement threw to your next chamber so the dont stick. Im no engineer but it makes sense to me.

Good to hear. This is along the line that I was shooting for. I have (4) 8" air stones going in there. Hoping for enough movement in there that they should just keep getting knocked free. I'm definitely going to keep an extra eye out.

My k1 chamber is about 45 gallons (should have went bigger). I dont think you will have a problem if you do tho just drill some more holes. I did mine with a seperate flow threw baffle so i didnt have to worry about it.

Does it bow? Panels seem thin. How about a vid of this puppy running, great job btw.
