I only use it for gravel vac though, for water change i have my "mobile water change cart" I use a large external pump mounted to a wheeled cart to start the siphon to suck water either outiside or up into my python attachment into the sink. If im in a big hurry, i just keep the pump on and it drains my tank at a very fast (unmeasured) rate.
