DIY Bio-reactor setup

let me get this straight, a bio-reactor is bio media suspended in water with air flowing up through it?

yes.

special media is needed to provide massive surface area for bacteria...

bioballs would get stuck together and create dead spots etc....

very nice reactor though. would love to be able to replicate one myself. thanks for sharing. hard to come by such essential information.

anything specific? thats the whole filter setup of my ray tank... not much more to show, except overflows and the actual tank...

Looks similar in design to kadlnes expect more cylinder in design, any experience with it? Better or worse?
