• We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
damn that stuff is pricey, but i guess it could be used multiple times, and you shouldnt use fiberglass resin if i remember correctly

yeah i have to agree, u only need 2 coats 1 for the shell and 1 for sticking on the substrate
like i said there is way too much for u but i think you could find smaller size
i will probably be making a fake reef for a 950 gal tank and i might need like 2 of those kits
i think the fiberglass resin is toxic cause of a chemical or something
can be used multiple times(you mix only the amout you need)

so the smaller like 17 dollar ones should work then? my project is like 2 ft by 2 ft by 1 ft tall

ok it says Quote"
Conforms To (FDA) Food and Drug Administration
Direct/Indirect food contact coatings/adhesive
CFR 175.300

CFR 176.170
CFR 175.105 "
I think that this means it is safe but im not perfectly shure since i dont know what the standarts are
it doesnt say how much it covers but i think that since it is thin and if u do 2 coats u should be ok

ya im using it as a place to hide/breed but i am sure a crayfish would absolutely love something similar and really easy to do so far, a sawzall with a metal blade makes nice clean cuts. and i was trying to keep the cost down and still make it how i wanted it. i will keep looking for this epoxy resin,im thinking i could make a strip on the bottom and use a rock to hold it down as i really dont want to silicone my new tank

remember you can actually use grout or cement you just need to let it leach
and the rock to hold it down is a good idea(foam is really boyant though so youll need a big rock)
to make a round look you can use a wire brush on grinder(if u have one lol)

the rock idea would be used with the epoxy, make an epoxy strip along the bottom so when u melt the foam out the strip stays then place rock on the strip
