I'd use either white paint or mylar, which is quite cheap. I read somewhere that aluminum foil isn't a very good reflector.

If you felt you needed to you can also use toothpaste and paper towls to polish that flashing until it reflects almost like a mirror!

The above link is what I did for one of the hoods I made. I sprayed foil with some spray adhesive and stuck it on. The shiny side reflects really well and I have no complaints.
