Diy-co2 and ph-controller

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
most people line of thought is getting too much co2 in which is hard with diy. using the controller how are you going to make sure the pressure doesnt builds up too much? how easy is it to make sure the diy is still working. if you are going on with this i would suggest using 2 bottles of diy co2. this way you can switch one out each week and never run out. also one way vavles so the pressure doesnt escape when switching them.

at the prices here the ph control tends to be just a little less then a regulator. take back the ph controller spend the extra money for co2 tank. over time diy becomes more costly then pressurized. with pressurized once set up its good to go for 6 months to a year.

The tank i will use it in only holds about 25litre of water so doesnt take much to overdose.

Thats what the waterbottle is for, to release excess pressure when the magnetic valve is closed.

Yup 2 bottles and oneway valves will be used.

Got it used so cant be returned.

Cant justify the cost to go pressurized for a tank this small.

is this your only planted tank that your trying to add co2 too? i ended up buying a 6 way valve so i wouldnt have to get so many co2 tanks and regulators.

people use powerade bottles or 1 liter bottles to make up smaller diy co2 systems.

Yes.

Space isnt an issue so will use a couple of 1.4Litre bottles, and a couple of modified grease nipples to get an easy and sturdy way to connect the hoses.
