Easy...

Take a pop bottle and heat up the lid and shove a glass eye dropper through it seal it up with some sealant. put some Yeast and some sugar and water in it.. WATCH THE CO2 LEAK OUT!!

Does this really work? what supplies would i need for a 55g planted?

It's easy. Supplies you need:


1-2 bottles ( 2 liter and up)
Sugar
Yeast
Water
Airline tubing
Super glue or silicon
A diffuser (powerhead, airstone, ceramic disc etc)


The construction is really easy. I suggest watching a youtube video on it.

Yea... personally I didn't find it helped and it stinks... but hey.. let me know how it goes... some people claims it adds that little boost

my personal recommendation for these units is 1 soda bottle per 10 gallons so for a 55 you should do 5 bottles. start 1 bottle a week until your up to 5 then once they are all up you can replace one bottle a week with fresh solution. that way your co2 doesnt drastically go up and down
