Here is a cork scape the i made and i wanted to share with you guys in case anyone here wanted to try to do a similar thing.

I posted this on aquariacentral but i just joined here and figured i'd share here too.

The tank has been set up for close to 2 months now. I just started doing pressurized CO2 and dose EI fertz and have dual T5HO 5000k and 10,000k bulbs.

Also I used silicone 1 to glue the cork to the tank.

Yeah i really want to get some moss (besides java) growing on the cork so i'm in the process of tracking some down.

Yeah that would look great
I cant seem to track down any decent size bits of cork bark here in the UK but will keep looking sure there must be someone that does some :help2:

So what all did you use for the cork? I am looking at the lizard site now. Rounds? Flats? ??? Did you sculpt it into the shapes and forms, or cut and glue?

Very cool idea, and it won't add much weight either. What about the cork being underwater for years-does it hold up well for long term?

A guy i know has had cork in his tank for 2 years with no problems. So i think it'll last for a while.

I got the cork bark tube. and Just cut the pieces and put it together it was really easy the hard part was the planning. I also used eggcrate to make structures and glued the cork to the this to provide more support. It also is great for lowering your pH if that's something you need.

Lowering PH for me is not wanted, actually I use backing soda to try to keep things in the 7 range. It usually falls to about 6.3 after one week of no water changes, and starts at about 7-7.3. No minerals in the water to speak of in my area.

I am looking at the foam DIY ones now, I really think this is the way to go in the front room, forget about that crappy image on there now!

Thanks for the ideas!

Great looking, my only concern would be how well the cork would hold up. But if someone is at 2 years already, that is long enough between having to rescape. Pretty cool idea.
