I used a wood burning kit with a round tip on it.

Another way is to use a dremel or rotory tool with a ball shaped deburing file. The abrasive ones load up when the plastic melts.

At this point it has not been a lot of work but I am still experimenting.
Once I find a method I like and start on the real piece it will be a lot of work with the detailing on it.
I am one of those guys that always has to be moving and working on something so I really don't mind the work.

That is some parts that I am making for a customer for down hole drilling.
I am doing the millwork on them.



The chuck is 24" diameter, the biggest we have is 36" but I have seen up to 60".
