Spring is finally here and groceries are getting cheaper. I also have been running out of fish food recently and got new fish. Brand New year, Brand new fish. I recently gotten into Frontosas. I bought a group of frontosas and will be buying another. will have a school of 12 in a 75. they will move up and be seperated when they are larger but thats not for another 4 years. they are all about an inch long. Also got stingrays and arowanas.
Im a person who always like to go cheap but go with quality at the same time. No other way other than to do it yourself! (DIY).
None of my rays accept pellets. Fine i will work on that later. But my Arowanas, cichlids, and some random fish i have all need high protein leveled foods. Pellets are my source to go for these fish since they are normally very easy to convert to dried prepared foods. I have attempted to make my own food before, and it went well. But i didnt have enough time to mass produce and cut enough for my fish.
I got the basics of making my own pellets from Monster peacock. dont know if hes still active but shout out to him for giving me the advice many years ago. If you havent seen his videos, go find it. it tells you how to make them.
Here are my recipes for my DIY pellets for my different fish.
