So I found a ok size cooler that My @sshat of a Ex Brother left here, an figured since I never use it for camping as I have a giant 102 quart cooler. I figured Id make something useful outve it.

I bought a cheaper battery operated air pump (chances are itll be replaced with a better one or new batteries).

I drilled a 1/4" hole acouple inchs down from the top on one end.

Cut a short piece of the air hose that came with the pump an put a 90% elbow on it.

I did the same on the inside.

I used some Nylon straping from a old backpack an some 3/4" pan head screws to secure the pump to the side of the cooler.

I got a cheap 15" air pipe an used silicone to secure the suction cups on the back of the cooler.

Here it is filled with water.

An with the pump going.

Im not sure if the batteries are weak (I took them from a flash light to test the pump) or if the pump is a POS, time will tell or new batterie will.

Thanks.
Just one of the few spur of the moment Ideas Ive had, thatve actually came out good.

Looks great! And I like it's a cooler for the insulation reasons. Also be a great portable bait station for fishing :)

Well now thats nice:) did you also silicone the hole that the air tube is going into?

Thanks, ya i fgured the fact that it kept things cold itll do well in keeping the water temp where it was (or atleast close to) what it was where ever the fish came from.

Thanks, havent yet. but thats only because the seal between the hose n elbow seems to be very tight, I may silicone it if i see it start to leak.

But then you might have to vent the top anyway.. ... Looks good :)

I planned on putting some 1/16" holes in the lid so thered be no pressure build up, Plus a strap to hold the lid closed incase a fish tried to pop it open.

But if the side doesn't leak .. In my opinion you should sufficient air escape... Woudl you think?

Here's a thought....

How do you plan on changing the batteries on the air pump if its screwed to the cooler?
