OK THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DOING THIS SO HOPE IT WORKS AND HELPS PEOPLE. THIS IS MY BACKGROUND SO FAR IT'S NOT DONE YET SO I'LL HAVE MORE PICS LATER.
I USED NORMAL WHITE FOAM BECAUSE IT WAS THE CHEAPEST AND JUST CARVED IT OUT USING A STEAK KNIFE AND I'VE ONLY GOT TWO LAYERS OF RESIN ON IT SO FAR BECAUSE I RAN OUT AND IT'S A LITTLE PRICY. I MIXED RIT DIE IN THE RESIN TO ADD DIFFERENT COLORS, SO FAR I ONLY HAVE BROWN AND BLACK ON IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO ADD SO JUST POST ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE AND I WILL TRY TO AWNSER THEM

NICE!!! Welcome to MFK!

what type of resin did you use? When I used fiberglass resin it ate foam! lol..

It looks good so far. Thanks for the post.

very cool this should help anyone trying to make a foam backround

thanks guys i used the west systems epoxy resin it worked great so far, it melted the foam just barely but nothing close to the fiberglass resin did you can also get a slower hardner for it so you can take a little more time applying it
