Hey guys A quick tutorial on DIY Java Moss vines as per request
What you will need:
Flyscreen, Scissors, Fishing line, Bucket, Water, Java Moss.
(not required are the Zip ties and mesh -they were left over from Riccia rocks tutorial lol)
Notes: Appologies for the dodgy camera work its a phone... IMPORTANT NOTE!!!! MAKE SURE THE JAVA MOSS IS WET AT ALL TIMES -EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DO WITH DRY MOSS!
Keep the Java Moss WET!
Step 1: Cut a thin strip of flyscreen 2 holes wide to length
Step 2: Tie the fishing line to one end of the Flyscreen
Step 3: Separate out a thin section of Java Moss & Begin to wind it around the flyscreen strip.
Step 4: Wind the Fishing line around the Java Moss Tying off every 2cm
At this point you can reverse the direction of the knots to create a "kink" or to join another vine...
Step 5: Continue to wind moss around screen & wrap with Fishing line tying off every 2cm - we do this so when we tie off at the end everything doesn't bunch up
Double tie at the end and were done!
Note Kink from Step 4
& Most importantly What it looks like:
Thanks for looking!
