diy led setup...

I have been thinking about it to make a moon light from my tank but I can fig out how many led's you can wire up to a regular 120 outlet with out having to use resistors.
 
Quite a few people use led Christmas lights to make an inexpensive led fixtures. The problem your going to find is that if your tank is to tall your going to need the real 3watt leds to have the light reach the bottom.
 
There are videos online that show step by step directions on how you can make simple a simple system, seems to need a great amount of effort on your part though i.e tracking down the bulbs, drilling the holes, wiring, soldering, ect. but hey if your handy then it shouldn't seem to be that big of a task.
 
Iv got some set up on my nano. the tanks not running yet but the cost less then £15 on Amazon. Iv got one strip of white and one of blue, ill try to get some pictures of them later on tonight for you.
