Ok, that's the preferred way to wire up a setup like that but a lot of people will do series(ground of one to hot of next) because it's easier to setup but is more likely to cause problems in the future.

Sure, I will take a few fts in a bit, and no algae problems with this setup,i use to get alot of it but that was due to having sunlight from 6 windows,not any more had them tinted lol
