DIY Overflow Boxes

If you had the slits on the bottom of the overflow boxes, you wouldn't have a problem. The water is still only going to drain from the top of the overflow tube.

I used acrylic latex paint. I brushed it on with a foam brush, after masking it with painters tape.
 
Very cool job. How is the flow on the tank? I noticed that you said you stepped the pipe size down to 1" at the bottom. What kind of gph are you putting into that tank.

I am not sure of the return rate. I know the two standpipes keep up with the 1700 gph return pump. I am using a blueline 70.
 
I totally forgot about this thread. I'm going to have to give my sister a call. She has access to a laser cutter and I need another overflow on this 100 of mine.
