ok, so you won't get an appreciable difference in extending it then. Just build another for the other end of the tank and you'll be good to go.

i could make 2 in my 55g but i dont want my 55 a pvc maze
build one on each side
or one 2" one
both will work,only difference will be looks imo
one fatty,2 not as fatty
