ok, i've got a problem. i made one of these out of 1" pipe, it looks just like the one in the first pic, except that i had to use the 90* elbow at the intake on the tee so i could hook up my sump. the inner U bend is higher than the outer one and it is overflowing into the sump, there is about a 2" difference in hieght between the inside and outside U bends. my problem is that the overflow cannot keep up with my QU2200 pump @ 3.5ft head and it will not restart when i unplug the pump. i have my pump throttled back about 25% to keep it from overrunning the overflow. wtfup?
can you help me figure out whats wrong with my immitated design? thanx thanx!



so decided to cut another pipe and replaced that punched pipe.....amazingly it worked so great!!!
