DIY overflow

So you trying to tell me the T needs to go at the water line??????

Keeping it simple, yes.
The "T" will be at the level you want the flow to stop when water is not pumping into the tank.

Ok i just thought from previous posts on this thread it said it did not make a difference. I will cut it apart and give it another go.

this only matters if he didnt have the loop inside the tank.(overflow system)

the loop in the tank is too shallow, you need a bigger loop, or go with the siphon design.
 
thanks i did a lil bigger loop and that made it work. I could not see why the T had anything to do with it. Just have not got back on to report my findings. :)
