diy overflow?

I found a overflow by a guy, and it is not suppose to need primed ever time. I might hold off on the wet/dry for now anyways. I might just get a 5 gallon bucket and put it above my tank and use a power head to put water in it and let gravity bring it back into the tank.
 
this idea is very good, but, another idea, is use two bombs, one to throw the water to sump, and another to throw the water back to the aqua. with that you dont have problem, with energy

when 1 of the 2 pumps fail. you have overflow problems... with an overflow. you only need to worry bout 1 pump.
